Coopers Rock State Forest
Coopers Rock State Forest is a 12,747-acre (52 km2) state forest in Monongalia and Preston counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Its southern edge abuts Cheat Lake and the canyon section of Cheat River, a popular whitewater rafting river in the eastern United States.

Ravens Rock Trail
Rocky trail descending then climbing to the Raven Rock outcrop, a dramatic overlook of the Cheat River Canyon. Sturdy footwear recommended for the rugged footing.
Rattlesnake Trail
Cliff-edge trail along the rim of the Cheat River Canyon, threading massive rock formations and rhododendron. Connects the overlook/concession area to Rock City.
Rock City Trail
Winds through 'Rock City,' a maze of house-sized sandstone boulders below the main overlook. Easy-to-moderate footing among rhododendron and towering rock formations.
Clay Furnace Trail
Mostly level trail with a few steep pitches leading to the Henry Clay Iron Furnace, a large stone stack used for iron-making in the 1830s.
