Babcock State Park

Rail-trail on the bed of the former Mann's Creek Railway toward Sewell, running narrow along a cliff above the creek with occasional boulder detours. Gentle grade open to hikers and mountain bikers.

Follows the old Mann's Creek narrow-gauge railroad grade downhill through remote gorge wilderness toward the vanished town of Sewell, passing waterfalls. Rugged and remote; links Babcock's main area with Camp Washington-Carver.

Ridge trail following a clifftop line above Manns Creek with three overlooks. Often combined with the Rocky and Narrow Gauge trails and Sewell Road into a loop. Trailheads sit near Cabin 5 and the Manns Creek Overlook.

Short but steep climb behind the Glade Creek Grist Mill through boulders and ladder-style rock steps to a gazebo overlook above the Glade Creek valley. Rhododendron-lined with rough terrain and scenic vistas.

Short walk to a small natural arch weathered from Nuttall sandstone, a rarity in the region. The moss-covered span is easy to pass through and can be combined with the Mountain Heath Trail.
